Beaches Therapy Group

In-Person and Online Therapy in Midtown Toronto

For the parts of life that don’t fit neatly into your calendar.

You can be good at your job, get everyone where they need to go, remember the dentist appointment, answer the email—and still know something needs your attention.

Our Midtown team offers thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families, with in-person appointments on Mount Pleasant Road and virtual therapy across Ontario.

Why Beaches?

Finding a therapist shouldn’t become one more thing on your list.

You have enough tabs open already—literally and otherwise. Getting support shouldn’t require hours of comparing credentials, approaches, schedules, and therapist profiles.

Tell us what you’re looking for. Our Care Team will help with the rest

Close By. Or Online.

Come see us on Mount Pleasant Road, or meet virtually when adding another trip to your day feels like the opposite of helpful.

A Thoughtful Match

A therapist can have all the right credentials and still not feel right for you. We consider your goals, needs, preferences, and personality when helping you find a match. If it isn’t right, we’ll help you rematch.

Thoughtful, Evidence-Based Care

Our clinicians draw from approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and more, adapting the work to the person rather than asking the person to fit the approach.

Help With the Practical Stuff

Where your insurance provider allows it, we offer direct billing. Our Care Team can help make the logistics of starting therapy feel a little less logistical.

How Can We Help?

Whatever brought you here, we can start there.

You might have a name for what’s going on. Or you might just know that lately you’re shorter with people, sleeping badly, thinking too much, feeling disconnected, or wondering why a life that looks pretty good doesn’t feel quite like yours.

You don’t need the perfect words before you come in.

Our Midtown clinicians support individuals, couples, children, teens, and families in person and online.

Anxiety Therapy

When your mind has already rehearsed tomorrow’s conversation six times and somehow moved on to worrying about next Thursday. Therapy can help you understand what’s driving the anxiety and find different ways to work with it.

Depression Support

Maybe everything feels heavier. Maybe the things you usually care about barely register. Or you’re getting through the day, but it feels like that’s all you’re doing. Therapy gives you somewhere to begin making sense of it.

Couples & Relationship Therapy

When every conversation somehow becomes the same conversation. When you’re great at managing the calendar but not so great at finding each other in the middle of it. Couples therapy creates space to understand what’s happening between you and find a different way forward together.

Trauma & PTSD (EMDR)

Some experiences don’t stay neatly in the past. Our trauma-focused care, including EMDR with trained therapists, gives you space to process what happened at a pace that works for you.

Grief & Loss

There’s no tidy timeline for missing someone or adjusting to a life that looks different from the one you expected. You don’t need to make your grief more understandable before bringing it here.

Self-Esteem & Identity

For the voice that always has one more criticism. The version of yourself you think you’re supposed to be. Or the quiet question of who you are now that something in your life has changed.

ADHD & Neurodivergent Support

Support built around understanding how your brain works, rather than trying to force it into someone else’s operating manual. We offer ADHD and neurodivergent support for kids and adults.

Child & Teen Therapy

School pressure. Friendships. Family. Identity. Big feelings at deeply inconvenient times. Our therapists give children and teens a space to talk about the hard parts of growing up.

Family Therapy

Sometimes what one person is going through changes the rhythm of the whole family. Family therapy creates room to understand what’s happening together and find healthier ways of relating.

Anger Management

For the moments when the reaction happens before you’ve had time to decide how you actually want to respond. Therapy can help you understand your anger and build other ways of handling what sits underneath it.

Separation & Divorce

There are the logistics of separation. And then there’s everything that doesn’t fit neatly into a spreadsheet: grief, anger, parenting, identity, uncertainty, relief, guilt, and figuring out what life looks like from here.

Not Sure Where to Start?

You don’t have to diagnose the problem before you call us.

Tell our Care Team what’s been happening, what you’re hoping might change, and anything that matters to you in choosing a therapist. We’ll help you make sense of your options and find a clinician who fits.

The Midtown Location

One appointment where you don’t have to be “on.”

There’s a particular kind of week where every square on the calendar is full and somehow you’re still wondering what you forgot.

Our Mount Pleasant clinic gives you somewhere to step out of that pace for a while.

Come from work, between errands, after school pickup, or simply because having a dedicated space away from home makes it easier to focus on yourself. Inside, it’s quiet, private, and set apart from the busy stretch outside.

And on weeks when another trip across Toronto is absolutely not happening? Meet with your therapist virtually.

Location Details:

  • About two blocks north of Davisville Station (Line 1).
  • Evening and weekend appointments available alongside daytime hours.

Getting Started

Getting started, without making it a whole thing.

1

Have a Free Care Consultation

Tell us what’s been going on and what you’re looking for. You don’t need to know which modality you need or have your goals beautifully articulated. A rough version is plenty.

2

Meet Your Match

Our Care Team recommends a therapist based on your goals, needs, personality, and preferences. If the fit isn’t right, we’ll help you find someone else.

3

Find Your Way Forward

You and your therapist decide together what you want to work on and what that work could look like. The plan belongs to you, too.

What You Can Expect

A little more clarity from the beginning.

Privacy Is Part of the Care

What you share is confidential and handled in accordance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act.

Therapy That Works Around Life

Daytime, evening, weekend, and video conferencing appointments are available, giving you more ways to make therapy work with the life you already have.

Insurance Without the Detective Work

Many extended health plans cover psychotherapy. Where your provider permits it, we offer direct billing, and our Care Team can help you understand your coverage.

Choose what makes sense for you.

Some people value having a dedicated physical space for therapy. Others know they’re far more likely to make the appointment when it doesn’t require commuting. And sometimes the answer changes from one week to the next.

Ready When You Are

There may never be a perfectly convenient time to start.

There will probably still be emails. Someone will still need something. Dinner will continue happening every single night for reasons nobody can explain.

You’re allowed to make room for this anyway.
