I am an experienced therapist, and I’ve worked with a wide variety of mental health and substance use concerns. I strive to create a safe atmosphere where people feel supported to speak truth and to live authentically. I believe that therapy is about joining with others to restore that which has been covered up by life over time, recover that which may have been lost, and understand those times when we say, “What was I thinking (or feeling)?” Having lived and worked in numerous places around the world, I also offer a unique global perspective.
My approach to therapy includes trauma-informed modalities, psychodynamic treatment models, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and motivational interviewing.
My specialties include anxiety, depression, perfectionism, procrastination, self-worth, various addictions (including compulsive online addictions), eating disorders, men’s issues, relationships, self-harm (NSSI), global transition/cross-cultural challenges, and religious trauma/abuse.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counsellor Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Addiction Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor (North Carolina), and Licensed Professional Counsellor Supervisor (Texas).
