Hi! I’m Lauren.
Reading, Pilates and Travelling are some of my favourite pastimes. I’m happiest hanging with my family and our dog.
What we know matters, but who we are matters more.
— Brene Brown
Hi, my name is Lauren (she/her). I bring an authentic, collaborative and engaged approach to counselling with adults, teens, and children 6 years and up. I strive to foster a safe space where clients can tell their stories and gain insight into how that story has impacted them. I draw on a range of modalities, as well as my 20 years of experience as an elementary school teacher to help my clients achieve their therapeutic goals. I work collaboratively and respect that you are the expert on who you are and what you need. I am committed to helping people of all ages learn how to build healthier relationships with themselves and those around them.
My work is strength-based, we look at what’s working and use our skills to improve what is not. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to help you build the life you want to live. I use a range of modalities to support my clients including Attachment Theory. Solution Focussed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion practices.
