Therapy is an investment in your health and happiness and it is more affordable than common belief. You can glean positive change from just a few sessions. In addition, we provide you with take-home material, articles and practice activities. Our goal is to help you make the most of your therapy experience so the effects work for you, long-term.
Our therapists’ fees are set in accordance with the guidelines provided by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Your initial phone consultation is free of charge. Here, we will listen attentively to your situation, assess your needs, discuss our rates and provide you with an estimated number of sessions we believe you will require. At each session, we remain committed to moving you forward. Once we see progress, we spread out the sessions or organize brief check-ins with more focus. This helps minimize your costs. Above all, we never keep you in therapy longer than you need.
We welcome and encourage frank and open discussions with us about our fees to ensure we manage your care in the best way possible. Our services are covered by most extended benefit insurance plans. If you do not have coverage, we also offer affordable therapy sessions at discounted rates through our internship program.
INTERNS & AFFORDABLE PSYCHOTHERAPY
Beaches Therapy Group is proud to support our industry with internship opportunities that offer the next generation of therapists exposure to practical real-world experience. To increase access to affordable therapy, we offer consultations with qualified interns at a discounted rate of $25/ hr. All interns at Beaches Therapy Group work under the guidance of a clinical supervisor. They are graduates of recognized psychology programs and receive extensive training on our processes.
This remains a popular option at our practice and therapy sessions with our interns are dependent on their availability and caseloads. If you are seeking cost-effective and affordable therapy sessions, then we seamlessly manage the process to ensure you receive the same high standard of care you would from any of our therapists. Your first call with our interning therapists is free, and you may ask questions about their experience level and skill set prior to booking your therapy session.
Insurance providers may cover our fees completely or partially. This depends on your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Contact them directly with these specific questions:
- Does my plan include mental health benefits?
- If so, how much do you cover for registered social work, psychotherapy and psychology services?
- What professional designation must my services providers have? (The most common are Registered Psychologist, Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker)
- How do I submit receipts?
- How long will reimbursement take?
PAYMENTS & RECEIPTS
We accept all major credit cards as forms of payment. Your receipt will clearly indicate the name of the therapist along with their professional designation and license number, as required by insurance companies.
When you cannot make an appointment, we require at least two business days notice to allow us to schedule someone else in your place. The full rate of the session applies for short-notice of cancellation.
