Hi! I’m Allison.
I enjoy baking, travelling, trying new restaurants and working out.
Be careful with the stories you tell about yourself.
— Glennon Doyle
I hold a Master of Social Work Degree from Wuzweiler School of Social Work in New York and I am a Registered Social Worker through the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), as well as with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
I have worked in the children’s mental health setting supporting children, parents, and families and have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T), Emotion Focused Skills Training (EFST), and family therapy. I utilize a strengths-based, collaborative, and empathetic therapeutic approach to supporting clients in recognizing their potential and increasing their well-being. I specialize in working with children, youth, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, familial conflict, and challenges associated with learning disabilities and ADHD.
I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult first step to take, which is why I aim to provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space to navigate the various stressors in their lives and the difficult emotions they may be experiencing.
I am happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation in which we can discuss your therapeutic goals. Looking forward to speaking with you!
