Hi! I’m Tiana

I love any mindful movement activities like going for walks, yoga, and working out. I also enjoy spending time with friends, snuggling with my kitty, live music, reading, and checking out new restaurants.

Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. — Brene’ Brown

In my practice, I aim to walk alongside you in times of discomfort and uncertainty so you don’t have to face them alone. My warm approach to the therapeutic process includes providing a space where you can discover, and sit with, your truest self to acknowledge and unpack some of the uncomfortable moments in your life. In this approach, we collaboratively explore and set goals for our time together, and work to create an environment where you can grow and flourish. I utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Sensorimotor and Somatic-Based Psychotherapy, and the Internal Family Systems Model to assist you in working towards the goals you have for yourself.

I have two Bachelor’s Degrees from the University of Waterloo in Social Development Studies and Social Work. I am completing my Master’s of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto. Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of supporting a diverse range of clients in various settings and stages of life, assisting them in working through a multitude of challenges including varying mental health diagnoses, addiction, relational issues, stress, and low self-esteem.

Your decision to start therapy is courageous, and I acknowledge the vulnerability it takes to open yourself up to be heard and seen by someone new. It is important to feel connected to your clinician to do effective work. Let’s connect for your free initial consultation to get acquainted with what you’re looking to get out of psychotherapy, to ensure we would be a good therapeutic match.

I look forward to hearing from you.
