Hi! I’m Stephanie.
I love time spent with family and friends, reading, biking, taking long walks, collaging, knitting, cuddling with my cats, enjoying a good cup of tea, and redecorating my home.
But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself–to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life”
— Lori Gottlieb
Life challenges can feel incredibly difficult and overwhelming, especially when facing them on your own. We all fall into negative cycles from time to time and we can feel very “stuck” in them. Together we can explore the impact these challenges have had on you, and discuss strategies and skills to address the cycle you might be in. As a Registered Social Worker, my commitment in our work together is to help you improve your relationship with yourself and your relationships with others.
I have experience supporting youth and adults coping with trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, grief, loneliness, and more, in both private practice and as a community support worker. I primarily work from an attachment lens, using Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. I also utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy when supporting clients towards achieving their goals. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, so I strive to make adjustments to my practice as needed based on each individual client.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. If you think we might be a good fit, feel free to reach out for a 15-minute consultation. This will give us both a chance to get to know each other and discuss any questions you may have.
