Hi! I’m Liz.

I enjoy being outside in nature, hiking with my dog, being at the beach, fitness, surfing, paddle boarding, skiing, biking, travelling to different countries and emersing myself in different cultures, lifelong learning, spending time with friends and family,

Only I can change my life. No on can do it for me.
— Carol Burnett

I am a compassionate therapist with a genuine interest in understanding human behaviour. I enjoy working with people and helping them with their struggles in mental health, addictions or trauma. My goal in working with people is to help them find ways to improve their quality of life. I have a supportive, client-centered approach to my practice and integrate my clinical skills with practical strategies. I believe wellness is a combination of social connection, physical health and the importance of connecting with nature and one’s surroundings.

With over twenty years of experience, I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Ryerson University. I have completed my certifications in Solution Focused Counselling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Trauma Counselling. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Level 1 and 2 (for couples counselling), EMDR Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches. I am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

I am passionate about helping individuals build healthy relationships and live the life they want. I have been providing counselling services to adults, couples and families facing a variety of challenges and issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions and anger management. I use an eclectic counselling approach to promote individual empowerment, self-advocacy and

improved quality of life. I would love the opportunity to connect for a free 15 minute phone consultation. Looking forward to speaking with you!
