Outside of my practice, I enjoy swimming, cooking, playing the violin, and spending quality time with my family, especially taking peaceful boat trips with my husband.
I see therapy as a collaborative and compassionate journey toward healing and self-discovery. My vision is to help clients build a secure internal bond with themselves, one rooted in self-compassion and trust, while also fostering meaningful, healthy connections in their external relationships and world.
I believe that every individual holds within them the capacity for healing, balance, and growth. My role is to help you reconnect with that core sense of Self—the calm, curious, and compassionate part that can lead your internal system toward integration, harmony, and growth.
Together, we will work to understand your emotional experiences, heal old wounds, and cultivate resilience so that you can move forward feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected, both to yourself and to others.
I hold a three-year Professional Graduate Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling Education (TCPCE) and an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from York University. I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
In addition to my clinical work, I have conducted and published research at Western University in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, exploring the psychosocial determinants of mental health among marginalized communities. These experiences continue to inform my evidence-based and holistic approach to therapy.
My areas of specialty include trauma, relationships, anxiety, shame, depression, loss and bereavement, and self connection with adults and couples.
I approach therapy through a holistic, trauma-informed, client-centered, and anti-oppressive framework. My work integrates elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to meet the unique needs of each individual and couple.
I offer culturally sensitive therapy in both English and Farsi, providing a space where clients from diverse backgrounds can feel seen, heard, and supported. To ensure that I am the right fit for your needs, I also offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your goals and explore how we can work together.
