Hi! I’m Stephanie
I love walking in nature, attempting to capture the beauty of the world around me. If I'm not taking pictures, I love going to movies and making puzzles with my partner, spending time with family, artistic endeavours (e.g., theatre, colouring, drawing), listening to music/singing along, reading, learning, playing phone games, travelling, and anything involving a lake or beach.
I enjoy traveling, reading, playing piano and ukulele, cooking, baking, and staying active with sports—whether playing or watching.
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.
— Aristotle
At my core, I am attuned to the need to belong and feel valued. This impulse led me into psychology where I earned an MA and left academia ABD (i.e., All But Dissertation) to work in research. My role was to produce mental health assessments - tools used by clinicans to assist in determining how best to support clients. Finding purpose recurs as a theme in my life journey, and I was drawn to Beaches Therapy Group as an Intake Coordinator, inspired by the focus on growth, accessibility, open-mindedness, and compassion. I am passionate about supporting a nurturing therapeutic experience - one that fosters a sense of security and worth: You're going to be okay and you deserve to be cared for!
