Therapy can be the catalyst to healthy and positive changes in your life. It can also be perceived as a very intimidating process, one where difficult events and emotions are brought to the surface and are explored. As your therapist, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space and make this process feel comfortable and useful to you; with your specific needs and goal areas guiding the time that we spend together.
Since graduating from the Masters of Social Work program at The University of Toronto, I have supported diverse populations with a range of challenges that created obstacles to healthier and happier living. Relying on the principles of attachment, trauma, neurobiology and drawing upon evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, helps me understand my clients outside of the problem and successfully partner with them to achieve positive treatment outcomes.
