It is important that you feel supported while taking this major step in seeking therapy. I understand that this can be a challenging and uncertain time, which is why I make it my priority to provide a supportive and safe space for individuals in their journey towards healing and personal growth.
I utilize an honest, direct, and warm approach, finding that a strengths-based perspective can aid clients in developing effective communication, self-respect and a will to improve their lives. I work collaboratively with clients to build a strong sense of self-awareness and connection by exploring new perspectives, practicing acceptance, and letting go of disruptive patterns. I aim to meet each of my clients right where they are as I help them navigate their unique story and circumstances.
I am a Clinical Social Work graduate from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York. I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I have worked in both hospital and community settings, with individuals and families experiencing struggles in all stages of life.
I draw from a range of clinical modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strength Based Therapy. At the core of our work is always the client and the therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about supporting people who are experiencing a broad range of mental health, interpersonal, and life-interrupting issues. Common themes explored in our sessions might include relationships, anxiety, depression, adjustment, grief and self-esteem.
I welcome the opportunity to speak with you authentically and work together to foster resilience, empowerment, and personal growth!
