The last few years have shown us all how unpredictable and chaotic life can be. Dealing with loss and/or changes can affect people differently, and sometimes feel overwhelming. I help children, adolescents, and adults to process and navigate this, with the goal of moving forward in the best way possible. I believe change can be a catalyst and an opportunity for growth.
There are different ways I help with this. Sometimes people need help making sense of their experiences and feelings, while others just need a safe space to share what’s going on. Once understanding your needs, I help set goals, build on strengths and help you to create healthy ways to cope with whatever you’re struggling with. Building a relationship based on trust and free of judgement, I use a range of modalities tailoring my work with every person based on their needs and what works best for them. This includes elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness meditation, emotionally focused therapy, solution focused therapy, play therapy and goal setting.
I have over twenty years of experience helping children, individuals and adults navigate challenging and unpredictable situations. I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work from McGill University, as well as a Master’s in Social Work specializing in children and their families from the University of Toronto.
