Starting therapy can be daunting. Sessions with me are about providing you with a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to explore your past, present, and goals for the future. Together we will explore your resilience and strengths, identify your personal goals, manage strong emotions, and navigate difficult relationships.
I work using an eclectic person-centred approach with a trauma-informed lens that allows me to tailor sessions and treatment plans to each individual client. I use approaches including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions to help ease distress and increase emotional regulation. We will collaborate together to make sure we can identify and work toward your goals!
I hold a Bachelor of Honours degree in Psychology from Queen’s University, along with a Masters of Arts Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. I am currently registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, and welcome all backgrounds, faiths, and sexual orientations.
Reaching out to a therapist can be a very vulnerable and scary first step – and I want to recognize the courage it takes to begin your wellness journey! I offer a free, 15-minute phone consultation where we can explore your goals and create a plan for your healing process.
